Specialty Weekends for special groups
Appalachia Service Project is not just a building ministry, it's a relationship ministry. And our Specialty Weekends give you a wonderful opportunity to serve beside men and women who share your interests.
Whether it's our Women's Weekend, Christian Singles, Collegiate Service, Retirees or a host of other weekend events, you can meet and share and be inspired by people who are walking the same path as you.
Beginning with the Thursday evening meal, you'll enjoy two full days of home repair work. Followed in the evenings by inspiring messages from a specially selected speaker.
While some might call this a weekend "retreat," we prefer to call it a spiritual step forward. Unlike a retreat, you'll know the satisfaction of rolling up your sleeves, working with your hands, and having a tangible impact on the life of an Appalachian family. And instead of pulling away from the world, you'll be engaging it-bonding with that family, meeting other volunteers, and forging friendships with people who will enrich your life for years to come.
Volunteering for ASP is always rewarding. But serving shoulder to shoulder with like-minded Christian brothers and sisters is an experience you'll never forget.
