From Interstate 81 in Virginia:
Driving toward Abingdon, VA on I-81, take Exit 14 (VA-140 & ALT 58).
Turn NORTH (right from both directions) at the bottom of the ramp, onto VA-140 for a short jog, heading through a few lights (go 0.4 mile).
Turn RIGHT on W. Main St (go approx. 1 mile).
Turn LEFT onto US -19 North /Alt. 58 (go 12.8 miles).
Take Alt 58/Rt. 19 toward Richlands, VA.
Stay on Rt. 19 when Alt. 58 splits off to the left.
In Richlands, turn left at the junction of 19 and 460 (follow signs for Grundy)
Take 460 W into Grundy.
Turn LEFT on VA-83. (Follow signs for Prater)
Continue for almost 8 mi, and Russell-Prater Elementary will be on the LEFT.
From intersection of Interstates 77 and 81 (Wytheville, VA)
Travel NORTH on I-77 toward BLUEFIELD (Portions toll) (Crossing into WEST VIRGINIA).
Take EXIT 1 (US 52 NORTH) About 2 miles after, take US-460 WEST toward Bluefield.
Follow signs for Richlands/Vansant/Grundy.
In Vansant, turn LEFT on VA-83.(Follow signs for Prater)
Continue for almost 8 mi, and Russell-Prater Elementary will be on the LEFT.
