I've never grown so much in such a short period of time. You learn so much about yourself and other people.

It is a great opportunity to be in a position where you are doing a very important job. It is spiritually, emotionally, and professionally uplifting. For me, it gave me direction. It let me know my value to myself, to others, and to God. And it showed me how valuable those things are to me.

Working for summer staff has the power to change your life. The situations and circumstances you find yourself in are extraordinary yet they can have an amazing impact on the way "normal" life situations are viewed. My two summers working for ASP taught me a lot about myself, God, where God is calling me in life, and what finding God in tough situations is like. One of the best reasons to work for ASP summer staff is that you will never find any other experience or job like it...anywhere.

This job challenges you, it stressed you out, pushes you to the max, but I have never ever gotten more out of a job than this one. It has helped me grow and find myself. Plus, free banana pudding.

It's the greatest thing I've done to widen my horizons, become more aware of the world around me and grow in maturity, organization, people skills and faith.

What is one important thing that you learned this summer that you would like to pass on to future staff?

To depend on God. To pray for patience. To love like Jesus loved.

The only expected thing as a staffer is the unexpected. Just let it roll.

Take the summer in stride. Just trust in your heavenly Father and your summer will rock.

God is present in everything on ASP, and everything will work out - in one way or another.
