At ASP we have lots of stories to tell--stories about volunteers, the families we serve, donors, staff, and others who are involved in our ministry. While ASP is Central Appalachia�s premier provider of free, quality home repair for families in need, we offer much more than repaired houses. We provide a unique framework that fosters transformational experiences for volunteers, families served, and staff by breaking down cultural, social, and economic barriers while building relationships between all three groups.
The ASP experience often results in significant life changes: families renew their faith in the goodness of others, people become motivated to continue their education and contribute more fully to their communities, youth/young adults choose lives of service through lay/ordained ministry and other helping professions, baby boomers find motivation to change career paths or dedicate retirement years to serving others. No one walks away from the ASP experience unchanged. The results are truly amazing!
