Description

ASP opened Jonesville, the first year-round center, in September 1983.  It houses vounteers all year, as well as annual summer staff training.

Sleeping

Volunteers will be sleeping in climate controlled dorm rooms, complete with bunk beds.  It is not necessary to bring an airmattress. Volunteers should be prepared with bedding (blankets/sheets or sleeping bag).

Showers

Showers are available in each bathroom. They are divided into stalls.

Meeting Arrangements

The front porch is a great meeting location. There is also an evening gathering room  adjacent to the cafeteria.

Food

Breakfast and dinner will be prepared by ASP's cooks and served in the cafeteria.  Sack lunches (with food provided by ASP, except for snacks and drinks) will be prepared by each work crew and carried to each crew's worksite.

Description

This facility was built in 1950 as an elementary school.   ASP has served the county for 20 years -- first in the school system, and since 1996 at the Guyan Valley Center.

Sleeping

The building has separate male and female sleeping quarters, with bunkbeds. Bring pillows, blankets, and sheets.  You do not need to bring mattresses.  The facility is climate controlled.

Showers are available in each bathroom. They are divided into stalls.

Meeting Arrangements

The cafeteria or meeting room will be used for evening gatherings,  Overall, space is at a premium in this center.

Description

ASP acquired the Chavies center from the Perry County School Board in 1991. It has been an ASP center ever since.

The cafeteria and back porch can be used for evening gatherings.  There is also an evening gathering room upstairs with couches, chairs, and board games.

Food

Breakfast and dinner will be prepared by ASP's cooks and served in the cafeteria.  Sack lunches (with food provided by ASP, except for snacks and drinks) will be prepared by each work crew and carried to each crew's worksite. There is an ice machine available as well as a soda vending machine.
